Remembering and Celebrating 25th March 1821 & 1st April 1955, and lets not forget Easter!

On Saturday 28th March 2026, Goffs Greek school Celebrated and Remembered two significant dates in our history

March 25 in Greece is the 1821 start of the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire, which led to the establishment of an independent Greece in 1830.

On April 1, 1955, the National Organisation of Cypriot Fighters (EOKA), led by General Georgios Grivas and supported by Archbishop Makarios III, launched coordinated attacks against British installations, initiating a four-year guerrilla war that ultimately led to the establishment of the independent Republic of Cyprus in 1960.

We also, celebrated Easter Break!

End of Year event….

What’s the point of having an end of year event without showcasing it with a video of sorts…

So we have put some photos and video together of our Summer show and Our Big Fat Greek BBQ.

Once again, we thank the committee members and helpers the Friday evening before, and on Saturday for helping the team run the event and clean up thereafter.

Also, a Big Shout to our Main Event Sponsor Nonna’s Kitchen
